Red Photo

I have added photos to a timeline. When I play them back they do so properly. Elsewhere on the timeline, I moved a film portion of my movie too far and pressed undo, which fixed my error just fine. But now my first photo (1 of 5) on my timeline is filled in bright red instead of a thumbnail of the photo. So far, it plays back fine, but the thumbnail is bright red. What does this change signify?

In a nutshell, just ignore it.

It's just some random weirdness in the program and won't affect editing or output. FYI, I experienced this quite often with older versions of Vegas, but not with 9.0 (64-bit).

Another bit of strangeness that Vegas often exhibits (including ver. 9.0) is that clips on the timeline show up as transparent and say "Media Offline". The media isn't offline, of course, and the clips play just fine. So that's another thing you can just ignore.

You do not have your spec's listed in your profile, but it usually indicates your system is running low on resources, typically RAM. What is the pixel size of your images? The problem will normally rectify itself if you close the application and then open it again.
