Redeeming proDAD Hide V2 (G3) & Hub Service Starter Pack (G5)

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased VEGAS Pro Suite 23 and I’m having trouble redeeming two bundled items:

proDAD Hide V2 (G3)

Hub Service Starter Pack (G5)

Both items are listed as included with my purchase. In the email with my serial keys it specifically says “Redeemable within your video editing software” for these two items, however I cannot find any option inside VEGAS Pro 23 to redeem or activate it.

Neither item appears in MAGIX products, and when I try to redeem them on magix site it is an invalid key

System Info:

Software: VEGAS Pro 23 (Suite)

OS: Windows 10 64-bit

Questions:

How do I access / redeem and install proDAD Hide V2 (G3) & Hub Service Starter Pack (G5)

I just want to make sure I’m not missing something obvious, and that these bundled products are properly activated.

Usually in your confirmation email from Vegas Pro, it includes serial numbers and where to download that additional software, yes?

As I said, the email gives the serial number and where the download directions is it just states Redeemable within your video editing software and nothing else

In the VEGAS Hub panel (View>Windows >VEGAS Hub) in VEGAS Pro there's a section where you can redeem codes for the Hub. I guess you can also redeem the other code as well.

To clarify LdM_Edit's advice - in VEGAS Hub open My Profile. The Redeem option is in there.

I thought that was to redeem additional Hub assets. If you run out of TTS and STT. It clearly says that is what it is for.

Click on the "?" and a video will appear explaining how to redeem in the HUB to increase the amount of the assets.

As far as I know, that's the only place where you can redeem a code "within your video editing software” in VEGAS Pro, as per the email received by the OP, so I'm guessing either the other code has to be redeemed there also, or there's an error in the instructions.

So I tried it and I got the Hub Service Starter Pack (G5) to work but everytime I enter the ProHide one it gives me an error saying its not a usable code.

So according to https://support.fanatical.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005986058-MAGIX-product-activation-guide, a G3 voucher is for "Producer Planet" or other shops owned by Magix. Is there any link in the email you received to any online store?

Have you looked in the "Expansion pack" section of the VEGAS Hub panel?

No link to anything. as I said they gave me the code and then said to redeem it within the video editing software, no extra links or information. I have created tickets to zero response.

I have not looked in expansion pack, where can I find that.

Well, I really don't know, then. Other Magix software like "Video Deluxe" has a "shop" inside, and there's an option to redeem codes (they offer Prodad plugins too sometimes with "Video Deluxe" ). To my knowledge no such thing exist in VEGAS Pro apart from the VEGAS Hub panel section you have tried already.

I see a lot of complains lately about Magix support not answering, so good luck. If you finally get a solution it would be nice if you could share it here in case anyone else finds the same issue.

Maybe try contacting Prodad.

Yeah I'll share a solution if I get one, This has been a terrible experience so far as this software isn't cheap and its been almost half a month now. I just hope they can respond to my tickets.

Have you tried proDAD support, with proof of purchase and a request for the relevant installer package for the OFX?

Normally what should have happened is that the Suite installer should have had options for installing all the various components, one of which should have been Hide V2. Then, in Vegas Pro, Hide V2 should have appeared as an OFX addin and when you first tried to use it it should have requested your G3 activation code.

The fact that it does not appear suggests the installer did not do what it was supposed to do, or the option for Hide V2 was missing or not ticked.

I would not bother with Magix support at the moment. All the signs are that it is a victim of the new owners cutting cost. I may be wrong, but the repeated, increasingly numerous reports of Magix support not even responding (let alone fixing anything) is a worrying trend

I purchased VegasPro23 with the Prodad Hide V2 option too.

In the mail that I received from the Magix Show I have 3 parts:

1: Upgrade Vegas Pro 23

here you have all information for the VP23 upgrade.

2. Hub Service Starter Pack

here you have the code for the Hub service Starter Package and an explanation what to.

3. proDad Hide V2

here you have a link that has to be used to receive the activationcode an dthe download link for Hidev2.

For HideV2 the mail is very clear.

When you click this link you will be redirected to a webpage called "proDAD Hide V2". Here you get your serial number for Proddad Hide V2 and a download link including an explanation what to do.

After installation of Hide V2 you enter the serial number in Hide V2.

Attention: Hide V2 is not a plugin of VP23. It is a separate programm!!

For me this worked perfect.

Is your mail looking different? What is exactly the problem with HideV2?
