Reduced Functionality in 5.0 builds 150 156

Why were the DVD-5 and DVD-9 optical media types removed from the Blu-Ray disc projects in these later builds? The AVCHD discs worked great in previous builds why remove working functionality?

Also with Blu-Ray projects the only audio format is stereo PCM. Why no AC-3 stereo or AC-3 5.1 as is available on DVD projects? I don't see a reason for this.

PS the installer is still broken on build 156. It does not install properly over a previous build. Either the installer should prompt the user to manually remove the previous build or remove the previous build automatically before installing the current build. This is symptom of poorly controlled software development.

Thank you for posting. I had tried Build 150 and disbanded it as the AC3 functionality failed. From what you say it appears that Build 156 is even worse, so I won't bother trying it.

As far as Dolby 5.1 on a blu-ray is concerned, you need Vegas Pro. Why? I asked the same question a couple months back. It is a marketing decision by Sony also driven by licensing fees.
DVDA Pro is not available as a stand alone program. You must upgrade to Vegas Pro. Even if you could get your hands on DVDA Pro you need the capability of outputting AC3 using the "Pro" codec that comes with Studio Pro. I know because after I upgraded I tried creating a blu-ray disc with the old AC3 render.
