Registered to another email address

Hi, I just purchased Vegas Pro 21 a couple of hours ago. I started it hoping to edit a project I'm working on, but keep receiving a pop-up displaying Error code: -24. The pop-up box says that my serial number has already been registered to another email address. I have proof of purchase available in my email, what do I do? I need to edit this project as I have a deadline approaching fast!

The Vegas Support page provides the following information about error 24:

If you are trying to activate Vegas Pro using the email address that was used to purchase Vegas Pro (presumably directly from MAGIX) as well as the serial number emailed to you at the time of purchase and you are still getting error 24, you'll need to contact Vegas Support via the 'Contact Support' link at the bottom of the error 24 support information page.
