Regular vs Platnium

As a new user to the "regular" VMS+DVD I was wondering if anyone moved up to Platnium, why and do you recommend it?

I upgraded to 6 Platnium and would recommend it if you think you'll use Acid, Spicemaster, and want some more sound effects.

You also get a book on HDV editing, and Platinum supports HDV.

If you're happy with 'regular', I'd stick with that.

To be honest, I haven't used the Acid or Spiecmaster much, but may one day get around to it.
