Reinstalling Vegas

Due to an avi audio problem I fear it necessary to reinstall Vegas? What is the safest way to go about this? What steps should I take to make it as painless as possible? I do not want to lose anything.

Safest way to to format your C drive. :) However, it's not the recomend way.

Just uninstall it, delete all the c:\program files\sonic foundry folders (if using V4 & NO OTHER SF products) or c:\programs files\ sony folders (any newer stuff, again, only if NO OTHER sony stuff is installed).

At least delete the setup folders. This will make sure you get a clean install.
