Rejoining split tracks

I am having the same problem! I drag the track to the left, and all I get is a cross-fade! I don't want a cross-fade though! I just want it to play from one track to the other without it playing even a split-second of black! Any advice?

Sounds like you should be butting the two events up next to each other. Is there a reason you can't do that?

I am trying to but it ends up with a split second of black and the only other way to do it is a cross-fade. I am sorry I sound not very smart but I am a beginner. :(

Was this originally one single event that you cut into two using the Split function?

If so, simply delete the second one, then drag the end of the first one back out to the right.
