Relief

My post is about nothing new or any problems. I would just like to say thanks to Sony for putting out a stable product. I have been using Pinnacle Studio software since the inception of Studio 7. I was using their next to latest version S9, up until 6 days ago when I finally had enough. At first glance at Sony's MS, I had thought that the PS9 interface was so much easier to understand and use but after 6 days of playing with my new software, I find myself in my happy place. I use editing software for primarily amateur underwater footage of shipwrecks and caves so I really don't need anything with tons of bells and whistles but would like to be able to keep my friends and family interested. MS exceeds my demands. I'm just so happy I can actually work on a project and not end up with a headache. Its a bloody freaking miracle. My only regret is, I wish I would of switched many dollars ago. Thanks a bunch........................

Glad you're happy and welcome!

I think you'll find as you go along that Vegas Studio not only exceeds your needs, but will encourage you to grow and expand your capabilities. You'll soon find yourself producing edits comparable to anything you see on TV. There will be very little you can think of (well, aside from animation and super fancy titles) that Vegas Studio can't handle.

Oh, if you've got some free time, hop on over to http://www.vegasusers.com/vidshare/ and take a look at lots of other stuff people have created with Vegas. True, a lot of it was done with the full version instead of the studio version. However, much of that could have been produced in the studio version just as well.

If I had a dollar for everytime someone posted this..........
I think it's great that with the sony products you don't
need to build a supercomputer. It just works.
Happy editing!

Yeah, there are quite a few dollars in this thread:

(I started with VMS about a year ago, largely based on comments at CamcorderInfo.com about it being stable, very capable, and fairly easy to learn. I was brand new to video editing at that time, and have never used anything else.)
