Remote Return function revisited

Someone in the forum several days ago suggested you needed to trim off a a second or two at the end of your video in order to return to a sub menu. That thread produced more confussion, than answers.

Anyhow, I just tried my first burn with version 1.0a of DVD-A and did NOT chop off anything and the RETURN button on my Pioneer 333 remote works fine returning to the top sub menu page as it is suppose to.

So posting this just so you don't need to do a step that isn't necessary. Again, your milage will vary depending on your set top remote actions. If this ever was issue or not in the first place... I don't know.

Still looking for the SPECS to see what is suppose to happen, if in fact there are any specific actions the specs call for. Haven't found any such web page. Anyone know of one?

The triming was not to allow you to return to a sub menu but to a Scene Selection menu. The return in preview has always worked properly. What I heard people saying is that it wasn't working properly with Power DV and on their settops. I haven't had the chance to check that out for myself as I decided to save a few bucks by ordering the Academic version and it hasn't shipped yet. I'm sorry if this caused confusion.
