Maybe this will answer your question : for me, I can select 20 clips in the media pool, select "remove and delete all files" and then have to click "yes" or "yes to all" 20 times. I find the media pool in general very buggy but it's been discussed here before, so I hope "Sony" is working on it.

Yes,
I wish I had time to search and compile an unresolved bugs list for problems which carry over from version to version. It would be quite lengthy.
