It isn't a filter. It's the multiband compressor.

Pretty much the only comprehensive method.

There is an existing preset for it already in Multi-Band Dynamics (if you have it courtesy of SoundForge), or pretty much all other similar plugins.

Best I've found so far is Izotope Rx though be warned it can be tedious.

If a multiband comp/limiter does not yield satisfactory results and depending on the amount and severity, I open the file (or a copy of ) in Sound Forge and 'surgically' repair the 'plosives', either by, EQ, (extreme hi-pass filter) level adj., fade-up, cross fade or deletion Some of this can be done in Vegas, but I find SF faster and easier if there are many.
