Remove transition script

TomG wrote on 9/8/2004, 4:27 PM
Does anyone know of a script that would remove all transitions from a veg file? I added 120 stills, used the applytransition script, and everything was OK until I had to add another 50 stills. When I used the applytransition script again, it impacted the first set of still's transitions. It seems like I am going to have to remove the transitions from the first set and then run the applytransition script on the full 150 set.

Thanks,

TomG

Why not just put the new 50 images on a new track, use the transition script on the new selected track?

Well, I tried that but the script ran against both tracks even though I selected the 2nd track. The script I'm running is Applytransitions_1_2 since that is the only one (of the 3 transition scripts I have) that doesn't give me an error.

How about selecting only the new 50 stills and then running the script? Any luck?

No, that doesn't work either. Thanks for the suggestion. Sure wish I knew how to write scripts.....

OK, thanks to some help from JetDV I was able to find a script that solved my problem.

So if anyone else encounters a problem with gapping and crossfading stills, I would recommend "SetEventLentghandCrossfade" which is a free script.

I understand this type of scripting is also available in Excalibur.

Thanks Tom, that’s one of the scripts that I wrote. I do a lot of photo montages and that one saved me a lot of time. I’m glad others are finding it useful. If anyone needs it, it’s available from the VASST Vegas Resources site.

Thanks again, JohnnyRoy. That script is a HUGH help when working with stills. Sorry I forgot to plug the author....
