Removing event splits

Is there a way to remove a split you have put into an event. Several times I have split an event and later wanted to put it back together and I couldn't figure out how to do it.

Splitting an event does nothing to the original media.

If you split a single event in the middle and then delete one half of it you can drag out the edge of the other half and reveal the rest of the media in the event.

Try it.
