Start>All Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt
CD FOOFOLDER
RENAME *.SD2 *.WAV
EXIT

(where foofolder is the folder in question, you may have to navigate there).

Not quite that easy since the DOS window uses 8.3 filenames. "My Documents" becomes "mydocu~1".

Do a "dir /x/p" to get the 8.3 filename of the next directory level, Repeat until you are in the FooFolder.

No difference. The asterisk wildcard matches any name no matter what it looks like.
