Vegas Movie Studio 11 doesn't really have a 60p workflow for 1920x1080 video.

Even if you could get it to output a 60p file, your video would be conformed to 60i by the program before it output as 60p.

This is not correct, I don't think. You just setup the timeline as 59.94 fps, and you export in MP4 using that exact fps as well. Why wouldn't this work? It doesn't require to have a preset template, you just set it up manually.

Are you sure, Eugenia? I've seen no indication that this program is capable of working natively with 60p 1920x1080. The video always needs to be conformed and rendered by the program.

What I have done to get 59.94p output has been to customize Sony AVC/MVC template as follows:

VIDEO tab:
Video Format: AVC
Frame Size: 1920x1080
Entropy Coding: CABAC
Frame Rate: 59.94 (Double NTSC)
Bit Rate: set this somewhere between 18-26Mb/s depending on your player requirements / or more likely constraints

SYSTEM tab:
Format: MP4 file format

Keep in mind this mp4 file will in all likelihood only playback on a computer with the appropriate video display resources. I have played back 1920x1080 60p video on my xbox360 however as the bit rate climbs over 10-12 Mb/s (iirc) the display system can't keep up with the fame rate and thus causing time sync issues.
