Render As file type bug

Not sure if this is new, but i never noticed it until trying 8.0b ...

Render to an MPEG2 .m2t file. Your next render after that will end up with a .m2t extension no matter what file type you choose. Not a killer; just rename that file with the right extension and all is well. It just confused the heck out of me the first few times.

Funny... I have had this happen with WAV files.... they come out as file.m2t. No big deal.... just change the name to file.wav, but it is strange. This has happened to me as far back as the original 8 version.

Just tried on a short 18sec file. Imported .mts file,
render as mpeg hdi untitled.m2t
then try dvd pal, leaving naming alone. Came out as untitled.mpg as I would expect.

Am I not doing something right, or just not able to repro?

I had the same happen and manually put the file extension in and then Vegas started saving with the correct extension (on later renders). But it did do this the first time I exported to wav and didn't add an extension.
If I remember correctly Blink3times posted this was occuring in the original release of pro 8.
So if it does happen I manually add the extension before saving.
