render as issues

I took 6 mp4 HD files and edit them with music, text, slideshote, total 12 min. I Render As MainConcept AVC/AAC (*.mp4) like I have done to other clips I sent to Vimeo. I played it and it looks like it's fuzzy in areas all the way through it, not clear and clean. I then Render AS in Video for Windows (*.avi), this came out clean and clear, but sound would conctinually skip. What's my issue?? HD 1920x1080x32, 29.970i
