Render Clip Frame Number

Is there any way in Vegas to render text for a clip that labels every single frame with it's number?

I'm trying to render some 'proxies' that a guy will use in iMovie, and I'd like to know what parts of the clips he's using in his project.

You can show time code on each frame by applying TimeCode FX. If you apply the FX to the timeline, you will get time code starting at Zero at the beginning of the timeline ... if this achieves what you need, fine, but if not you can apply TC FX to media in Project Media, in which cast the time code visible will be the original camera timecode.
