Render for DL DVD

I've got to be missing something but it appears that Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11.0 build 322 will only render for a single layer DVD (4.7GB) despite having a dual layer DVD (8.5GB) in the burner. I have right at 2 hours of video that I need on one disc and am willing to pay for DL DVDs but no matter what I seem to do it always generates a single layer DVD at much lower quality than it should if it had 8.5GB to work with. How can I convince Vegas to use the full capacity of the DVD?

Is that a Pro version option TOG ....... can't find this option on my copy of VMS11 Platinum?

The option is available in DVD Architect Studio, which should have come bundled with Vegas MS HD Platinum.

Don't burn DL DVD if they are going to be distributed to others.
Up to 30% of player models will not handle them.
If you are burning for your own use, let DVDA choose the layer break point, or use ImgBurn instead.

Agreed, don't burn DL.

I shoot youth theater and put more than 2 hours on a single layer DVD with a bitrate as low as ~4.5Mbps and the PQ is more than acceptable.

Render/burn one and take a look. I think you'll find the PQ is fine too.
