Render in 8.1 Go, in 9.1 No Go

I have a simple project. One video track, text overlay track, one photo, two audio tracks (surround).
Project media is HDV 25P (shot with Sony Z7).
Rendering in 8.1 to HDV 1080 Progressive no problem.
Opening the same project in 9.1 and rendering to the same template immediately generates "an unknown error occurred" message.
I'm going nuts!

There is no Vegas 9.1 yet -- we are all waiting for it...but I think you mean that you are using 64 bit Vegas in a 64 bit environment. If so, and I don't know that this will fix the problem (but it helped me on my system)...Try using an updated 64 bit codec. It's free and does a great job for me!

K-Lite Codec 64 bit

You're right, 9.1 is 9.0 64 bits.

Anyway, thanks for your suggestion, but it didn't work.
What I got during the installation of this codec pack was several warning about broken registry thingies, some of them mentioning Sony entries.
Maybe I should try reinstalling V9.0 64.
