Render is in Slow motion

Please help; I am try to post a highlight video of my son online and I have compiled highlights that are approximately 4 minutes long. I have the Sony HDR-XR200 HD camera and use Vegas Movie Studio HD 9.0 software. When I render the video it plays back in slow motion vice normal playback speed. I tried teh "Make Movie" button and the "Render As" menu and chose MainConcept MPEG-2 and tried DVD NTSC and HDV 1080-50i and HDV 1080-60i as I would like to have the best quality possible. Any and all recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Did you match your project settings to your source video?

You probably stretched your video on the timeline inadvertently.
If you're new, just start a new project, match media properties as suggested, and render at the same frame rate as the source. If you still have problems, post your media properties using MediaInfo, your project properties, and your render properties. Vegas should not be misreporting your media frame rate.
