Render MP4 with Alpha channel? (Sony or MC)

I think I am missing something obvious.

Can you render to MP4 with an alpha channel using either of the mp4 codecs in Vegas 8.0?

This is for a web video client who - for whatever reason - refuses to accept .flv with an alpha channel, or a .mov file. Insists on MP4.

I don't believe the two MP4 codecs that come with Vegas support an alpha channel. I would ask the client what MP4 codec they have used in the past.
