No. Preview window settings are independent of the render quality. In fact, I shut my preview window down, it gives me a very slightly faster render time. Used to be more significant back in the days of Vegas 2/3...but now it's just a habit rather than a benefit.
Spot, i have a 3.2ghz 800fsb with 2gb dual channel ram. i have a 15 minute clip lots of color correction (almost every clip), and its going to take 8 hours! does this seem typical( and no there is not any opacity issues) its rendering at about a frame every .75 second. Does this seem long, or am i just impatient?
What else is going on? That seems a little long for just color correction, unless you're rendering at BEST setting. If there are any blurs, noise reduction, anything along those lines...it's gonna be long.
If you have a lot of stills, Best is what you want. If you are rendering just DV/titles, then Good is all you need.
You should render your MPEG straight from the Timeline, however, for maximum quality.
That's a fairway north of me, but in the same valley, anyway. I can actually see where Seabase is from my home. Well...I can see MagCorp, anyway:-)
C'mon over!
