Render Question

MUTTLEY wrote on 11/7/2008, 11:06 AM

I've got scenes that I'm rendering out as AVI 720-24p Intermediate and they are not playing in Windows Media Player. Is it possibly due to the Video format that is currently set to CineForm HD Condec V2.8? If so, what should I be using that will be compatible with Windows Media Player?

Hey Ray,

Not sure if this is what you're seeing or not:

Hope this helps, I'm not using Cineform here so I can't say.

Thanks Frigid but that's not it. It starts and plays right away but I only get the audio in Windows Media Player, no video, sorry if I wasn't specific. I do get the video however if I put it in the timeline in Vegas.

I believe CF have a free version of their codec that'll let WMP play their files @ 720p. Might not be what you want though as the viewer would need to install the codec.

Gotcha, but yea, as you suspected not the solution. Do you know if the CF is the default or did it change on mine somehow? I remember having issues with Sony YUV and pixelization with the reds, so if not CF and no Sony YUV, whats the best one to use?
