render too big

I have a project which the duration is 1hr 56 minutes. I have rendered the project and when I try to burn, the message is that the file is too large for the media. i thought we could get up to 2hrs per disc

What format did you render to?

It's possible you can use DVD Architect Studio's "Fit to Disc" feature which will lower the bitrate (re-render) so it will fit on the disc. But it will lower the video quality some.

Tell us more about your project so we can tell you if that's a good idea or not.

THANX for the info. I will try to fit to disc in DVD architect. My project is a panel discussion. nothing complex. Just lower third titling and title slides.

I have tried fit to disc in DVD Architect. It stll says i need to consider making more media assets available for recompress or remove some media assets.

Hmm. It works every time for me. It lowers the bitrate just enough so that 95%of the disc is filled.

What format did you render your video to before bringing it over to DVDAS.
