You dont need to use a KBM switch if your network rendering PC is over the network. You can just use remote desktop to access the other machine.

I use remote desktop to access my audio workstation when recording away from the main machine. (Remote desktop doesn't work to well with video editing tho.) (;

It's a little cheezy but here's a quick video of proof of concept using wireless G to remotely control my Cubase DAW (fwd past the intro to approx :45sec):
