Eric,

Your answers have been helpful. Thank you! I was not sure if having VV3 would allow me to do what i need when it came to creating a DVD!! I have been using the VV3 for the last 8 months and now VV4 is out. I know VV4 can do all what i am trying to understand but i was seeing if i was able to "pull a fast one" and use VV3 until i got VV4. I'll tell ya, this forum has been more than helpful and i do appreciate the help. Thanks agin eric. Have a great weekend.

Tim.

Encoding is typically not done by the authoring software. That is usually done outside the authoring application - you 'bring' the completed mpeg2 file into the authoring application. There are lots of good encoders out there. Canopus and Vegas have particularly good ones.

Mpeg1 has nothing to do with DVDs. Period.

You can download the demo of DVD Architect, and then download the "sample project for burning", and try burning that. The end result should be a disc you can play in your DVD player (if it's compatible with the burned media).

Download these from here.
