rendered cropped video : jerky on video track but not in trimmer nor Windows mediaplayer.. why ???

Exploring Vegas, I cropped a small file (to zoom it in), then rendered it to a new file.
This rendered file plays good in Windows media player, and in Vegas trimmer windows as well, BUT if I put this file on a vegas video track and play it from there, it plays jerky.... awfull.
Quite strange, so strange that I suppose I missed some point somewhere.
Anyone might explain it to me ?
Thanks a lot

What settings did you use to render it? It needs to be NTSC-DV or PAL-DV.

MPEG files play jerkey for me in VEGAS but play fine to other programs. Sonic Foundry says it is because of the way Vegas and DVD Architect real time MPEG. It is supposed to get better. I don't know if you are using MPEG or AVI. AVI should preview fine.

It's true that I did not pay attention to any settings for rendering !
' Must be just that, so I'll come back to that post if the problem is still there after a new try.
Thanks.
