Hello, I wanted to know if there is a way to avoid "interleave" of Audi+Video of DV AVI captured/rendered from VV3 to enhance compatibility with Matrox hardware. Matrox uses separate wav files and the AVI just contain the Video data.
When you render the .avi file you can click the [Custom] button, go to the Audio tab, and remove the checkmark from "Include Audio". This will create a video-only .avi file. Then render the file again to a .wav file to get the audio only.
I don't know the details of the DV spec, but i suspect there's a possibility that an "audioless" DV file will still contain and audio track. The above procedure would simply give you a DV file with silence. You may have to use an AVI codec other than DV in order to get a truly audioless file. But, i'm just guessing.
