Rendered Video has the jitters

Hi, I'm quite new to all this and have only just finished the trial. Apart from size, all the videos I've produced so far have been fine accept for the last 2 which seem to have what I call the jitters (I can post a short example if that would help, I don't know the technical term). I'm thinking I must have inadvertently changed a setting somewhere but I've fiddled around now so much I don't what else to do. I have viewed the video on another PC to check that it wasn't some problem with my PC and they don't 'jitter' before being rendered.

I'm running VMSHD9 on WIN xp, my video files start as .mod, get coverted to .wmv and the final render is .wmv. Please can someone advise what I should be checking for or point me in the right direction for information noted elsewhere?

Try converting from .mod to avi to start.

I am having similar problems with AVI files and mov viles. I have tried to change rendering and it is killing me! I have spent a tone of time on this and also a ton of time with Sony tech support and they cannot seam to figure it out. I am not a techy as well but the one thing I can say is somehow HD 1080 files are not communicating well with my laptop and Sony VMS. I am quite certain I am not the only one with this issue but no one seams to be able to address it.

Do you mean "interlacing" when you're talking about "jitters"?

I don't know sorry. I looked up interlacing so I think I know what it does but what effects it has I don't.

Then posting an example would be helpful or provide a more detailed explanation of what you say is "jitter"
