Rendering

I have Movie Studio Platinium 17.

I have been trying to render a short 2 minute 24 second video. I select the loop region which states that it is 2:24;23 and then go to render. Every time I render it, it is rendering over 4 minutes. After the 2:24 mark everything is a blank screen. It is taking over 20 minutes which is excessive for a 2 minute video. Is there another setting somewhere that I should be checking?

@Mimi-Steel Hi, I don't have Movie studio but it's very similar to Vegas Pro i believe,

I tried to recreate your timeline & rendered with the loop selection, in the Render As window there's an option to render Loop region only, ticked or unticked i had no problem,

What is on the top track, it says Text but it looks empty ?

When it does render & you say after the 2.24mark it's blank, how long is the rendered vid & have you watched it right to the end?

On my screen i added a jpg a long way down the timeline just in case you had a stray event, but that makes the bar at the bottom short as in my pic below, whereas yours is big showing that there isn't any more to your project than is seen, if that makes sense. try double click on loop region at the top, this will set the loop area to the entire project & inc everything, just in case there is an odd event somewhere,

If i render like this with the jpg further down the track & render loop area unticked it takes ages 🤷‍♂️

I think maybe more info is needed about render & project settings, including your system details, CPU GPU etc. 👍

@Mimi-Steel My impression is that the bar actually indicates there is more so there's something further down your timeline which is the usual cause of your problem. Click on the "Go to end" button under preview and it will show what VMS considers the end.

Anyway do as @Former user suggests and tick the box in the render settings to render the loop region only.
