Rendering a clip adds extra audio channels.

Hi,

This is about Sony Vegas Pro 13.0 with Windows 7.

I am rendering a video file to MXF ( IMX 50 ) and the media info of the final rendered clip is showing the following details:-

Audio Track 1

Audio Channels 8

Original Audio Channels 2

I want that my final rendered clip should have only 2 Audio Channels.

Can anyone help ?

Hi,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

Actually, When I am capturing a clip through Sony Vegas Pro 13.0 using "MPEG IMX MXF" Encoding , even my Captured clip is showing 8 audio tracks while I have selected 2 Audio Tracks in my Capture Card Setting.

Please Help.

According to this wiki article, the IMX standard had 8 channels for audio. I suspect that can’t be changed, so, how you map your 2 channels into the 8 placeholders where audio could be stored is likely the issue.

You might get some insight from this John Rofrano article: Multi-channel Render Template in Vegas Pro that was discussed recently in this thread.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

While Capturing through Blackmagic Decklink Card, I want to set the Chroma SubSampling ( Compression Ratio ) to 4:2:2 and aspect ratio to 4:3 so that the rendered clip should have the above settings.

Please suggest.
