Rendering doesn't render audio..

I have rendered a 2 hr AVI using:
Type: MainConcept Mpeg2
Template: DVD NTSC

After rendering apparently the audio isn't rendered, because when I open the rendered file in DVDA2 it want's to render the audio before burning.

Is this normal? or am I missing something in the settings for audio?

Actually the audio WAS rendered - into the MPEG2 file. What DVDA is doing is uncompressing the compressed audio and then re-compressing it into AC3 format. For better results, render the audio separately to AC3 in Vegas and then tell DVDA to use BOTH files.
