Rendering DVD, pictures

The project I'm working on has single pictures, audio, and some script. I put it together in Vegas 6. I want to make a DVD in DVD Arc., but I'm not sure what settings to use for rendering. I made one and the color didn't didn't come out and the screen kept jumping. Should I transfer it to DVD Arch. and render it there or keep it in Vegas 6. Is there something I need to do because I used pictures instead of Video?
Thanks
Allen

I like to make sure that "reduce interlace flicker" is selected for the media in Vegas. Then when I render, I select an appropriate DVDA template (NTSC or PAL), do not use the default template.. If I'm doing any panning or zooming (using pan/crop) then I also like to set the render quality to Best.

Thanks for the quick reply. I also am a little confused when I try to put the rendered files in DVD Arc. Again it looks great when I play it in Vegas 6, but I'm not sure where my mistake is when I tranfer it. I never seemed to have these problems when I used Vegas 5.
Thanks,
Allen

Are you talking about the quallity as seen in the DVDA preview window, or have you prepared and burned an actual DVD to test on your set?

I was talking about the quality of a burned DVD. I've had a little better luck tonight. I actually burned one that plays on my Panasonic DVD player. It looks almost as good as the one in Vegas 6. However, when I tried to make some edits in the audio and rendered again I made some coasters. My fault, growing pains!
Thanks for your help.
