Rendering freezes every time

I'm trying to render a very short video (30 seconds) using Movie Studio Platinum 17. Whenever I try to render the video it goes extremely slow and then freezes. It freezes either at 22% or at 54% every time I try to run.

My laptop is an ASUS Zephyrs with a Ryzen 9 and RTX-2060. All software and drivers are up to date.

How much free space is on your hard drive? What is the source of your video? What resolution and format is it?

~600gb free.

Source is from a GoPro Hero 7 and an iPhone. Both are 4k.

I've tried using MAGIX AVEC and AVC. No difference in output from either. I'm using the NVIDIA NVENC Internet UHD 2160p 29.97ps option.

Thanks, I thought so, maybe it is caused by the plugin to decode in your case.
Try in stead of yours, this setting or the default for build 143:

Thanks @j-v, but I have tried both ways and am still having the same problem. I have an NVIDIA GPU and AMD CPU and thought the default might have been the problem initially.

Can you look which plugin is used for both videofiles, look in videoproperties of a file on the timeline

Thanks, I was afraid for that.
With me and my I/O settings as showed the So4 compound is not choosen and I have no render and/or play difficulties. So maybe you need to disable the So4compoundplug to use in the Internal settings.
