Rendering from Movie Studio and Creating DVD

Hi All,

I've prepared a file which contains stills and music - basic stuff. I've tried rendering the file as an avi and MPEG and tried previewing. When previewing it does not display full screen. I then when to DVD Architect and created a new project. Prepared as MPEG with template NTSC Widescreen. Again the preview is not displayed full screen. I need to display the movie from my computer through a projector onto a screen. Help. I'm not sure what settings need to be tweaked to get the right display.

What do you mean by not displaying full screen? Does it have black bars on the top and bottom or down the sides. Is your project widescreen?

Hi,

when I preview the avi using vlc media player and playing a DVD on my TV the movie is not displayed on the entire TV screen.

The Project Properties are:

NTSC DV Widescreen (720x480, 29.970 fps) (template used)

I assume your screen is larger than 720 x 480. In VLC you can switch to full screen mode. I believe it is under the VIEW options.

Yes, when I switch to full screen the video is not displayed full screen - when I go to the safe areas the video stills are well within the range. I used Sony Vegas 8 for many years and had no issue with previewing work in progress and view the final .dar on DVD via DVD.

Which version and build of Movie Studio are you using?

Which export templates are you using for your avi and mpg exports?
