rendering in fast-motion?

Does anybody know how to render a clip/event with both the video and audio portions going in fast-motion? In other words, making the audio voices sound like chipmunks. Doing the CTRL key and drag chops up the audio and not speeds it up.

Right-mouse-button click on the audio track and choose Properties from the popup menu. Check the box labeled "Lock to stretch".

Or go to :
Options / Preferences / Editing tab / and uncheck "Preserve pitch when stretching audio events"

I think that should work too but I'm not sure it will if you accelerate instead of stretch... should work on both sides I guess
