Rendering in Vegas

When I render a file from my stillcamera Canon-(MOV-file (.MOV)) or telephone SonyEricson-Vivaz (MPEG-4 Mediafil (.MP4)) they seem to deteriote much. They are after rendering to m2t - 1080-50i much more flickering and showing shadows while the original file is quite sharp.
Is there a way to avoid this.
I usually render HDV-files in vegas and they donot show this deterioration.

You are exporting incorrectly. HDV is an interlaced format, and your cameras are progressive. Unless you're trying to burn AVCHD disks or DVDs, you shouldn't be exporting in an interlacing format. Try the steps here instead: http://eugenia.queru.com/2007/11/09/exporting-with-vegas-for-vimeo-hd/
