Rendering multicam recordings do not complete and quits VEGAS PRO 15

Since a few weeks I have problems when I want to render a multicam file made in VEGAS PRO 15. The file starts rendering but after 2 to 20% running it stops and there is no way to stop rendering. VEGAS PRO is completely down and only way to stop is via CTLR-ALT-DELETE method. The multicam files consist of MP4 files (downlaods fromYT) and HD Camera or Iphone Files. The last two mentioned files are really big files (between 4 to 50/ 50 GB) files.

What is going wrong?

YouTube downloads are notoriously problematic for editing. yt-dlp at least gives a chance of a usable file.

Try redownloading it if you can with that tool. Otherwise re-encode and hopefully it works: https://www.shutterencoder.com/

VEGAS 15 also wasn't the best for decoding variable framerate phone footage. You can try to reencode that too and replace the media. (try output codec h264 or editing codec ProRes).

I never had this problem in the past wihen rendering these kind of file combinations. It now occurs. Only difference I know is that the HD CAmera / Iphone files are much larger in GB's

I'm not that familiar with all these kind of codec stuff; Is is possible to re-encode the original files in VEGAS PRO or what do you mena by that?

It's not about GBs, it's about file format. MediaInfo can tell you what's in the files: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-to-post-mediainfo-and-vegas-pro-file-properties--104561/

You could try using VEGAS, though if you are having trouble with VEGAS it may be self-defeating (you are having trouble rendering... and now you're going to do a render). Yes in VEGAS you could try to create a project with just one media file and then render to Magix Intermediate 422 or MagixAVC with Mainconcept and then replace the media one by one.

The free tool I linked to "ShutterEncoder" is just about guaranteed to do it well. (Try output codec h264 or editing codec ProRes).
