Rendering problem

I just got Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD 9 a couple days ago. Immediately, I took one of my home movies and edited it within a day. Then, I go to render my movie and I noticed that the 'Approximate Time Left' kept going up and up. And when it does sort of finish, I get an 'Error has occured' message and I see that the video is around 16-18 minutes long and it took up all of my GB. Is there something wrong? Do I have to install a certain update? Once again, I am using a Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD 9.0.

What type of format are your original files? What are you trying to export them as? Tell us about your camera and computer. Cin

It's a .wmv and I'm trying to export the final cut as a .wmv.
Also, the home movie was not recently filmed, it was made about 5 years ago and recorded into a DVD I saved onto the computer a month ago.
