Rendering Problems

I have started having problems with rendering times. I am trying to render a 17 min. SD video which was captured.

It is taking over 1 and 1/2 hours. This is just to long.

Using Pro 9e, Windows 7 with 8 gigs memory, graphics card ATI Radeon HD 5700 series with QuadCore. The CPU usage is showing 1% and Ram 27%.

I can not figure out why it is taking so long to render.

Any suggestions.

You will need to tell us what format the source is in and what format you are rendering to. After that, factors are FX's, compositing, track motion, and others.

Depending on those conditions and the speed of your machine, 4 to one isn't that bad. If it is DV to DV with a light edit, that is a bit much.
