It's never been movable in any version to my recollection. That's always bugged me too.

Why? You can't do anything else while the "Render As" progress bar is in progress.

Sure you can. You can run just about any other program on your computer, including another instance of Vegas. I'd like to have the progress show in a corner on my screen so that other things i'm doing can be near full screen while the progress is still visible. But with the progress in the middle of the screen that's pretty difficult.

Minimize Vegas and just hover over the Vegas icon on the taskbar and you will see the progress.



Vegasaur Render Assistant (a highly underrated add-on for Vegas) shows the progress in the Taskbar Notification area.

And if the Vegas programmers had left the title bar enabled in the progress dialog box, we could easily drag it wherever we wanted it.

I realise this issue is only a minor cosmetic thing - in the bigger picture... I found what I was remembering - which is that during pre-renders - there's a progression bar on the bottom left (as well as the popup). An option just to use a bottom left progression bar would be a nice addition.
