Rendering quality issue

How do I get Screenblast Video Capture to capture in MPEG-2 ?
When I recently cap'd a file from an analog video tape, it was captured in .avi (320x??? format)
When I rendered to to DVD NTSC comp. output, the rendered video was considerably poorer quality than source (blurry). Suggestions would be helpful.

I am relatively new to VF2 /Screenblast (I have Screenblast from Sony), so am going thru another learning curve for this package.

You can't capture in MPEG with Screenblast VideoCapture. However, most capture devices should let you set the .avi resolution to 720x480. What video capture hardware are you using?

ATI RADEON 8500DV w/ P4 ASUS P4T533-C MB @ 2.53GHZ .
Been using the ATI TV tuner / capture software prior to installing Screenblast. Works fine, am using the SB Cap program w/digital cam since arrival of both last week.
THought I'd just try minimize the different # of programs I have to use to edit/capture.

How to I change the .avi cap settings in SB to 720x480 ?
