I'm setting up a editing system with Vegas for another TV station, and I need some recomendations on rendering "problem."
Ok, I'm using analog capture from an ATI AIW 7200, which can capture at DV resolution. My "problem" is that the hardware that will broadcast the commercials over the air will only play SD NTSC (640x480) video. It CAN NOT play DV video (720x480). Should I stick to capturing at SD NTSC or will it be ok if I capture at DV resolution and then render down to 640x480. Will anything be lost in this process? Thanks!
Oh, I forgot something. I know that when using DV you should make imported stills at a different resolution then DV (655x480 i think). How will this effect my 640x480 rendering?
