I shot my video on a sony HDRSR12E in AVCHD 1920*1080. I have edited it down to 90mins, nothing fancy mainly straights cuts and fades.
I rendered to 1040*1080 M2TS with 5.1, using 8.0b. 24 hours later it completed but the sound went progressively out of synch although it was perfect in the timeline. I decided to install 8.0c and checked that the timeline had the same properties as the individual clips.
I tried to render to 1920*1080 5.1 and that failed every time, I thought it might be faster. A day later of cutting the video to smaller pieces and rendering separately and it still fails. It also fails to to render at 1040*1080 and I have assumed that is because I have a quad processor and the issues that gives. Failure can be it displays an error notice or just disappears.
So I thought I would park that and render to SD instead working on the basis that when the quad CPU issue is fixed I would re-render and everything would be sorted.
When I rendered to SD the sound is perfectly in synch but the video has interference when there is motion.
I would like to find a way of rendering to something I can show ideally HD with 5.1 (which is why I bought Vegas initially) but have now got to the stage where anything will do.
