What rendering settings produce the best quality HD 1080 Mac .mov files to send to customers?

The Sony AVC or MainConcept AVC encoders in Vegas will produce HD file compatible with Macs or iThingies.
You can change the rendered file extension from .mp4 to .mov if you wish, but it is not necessary.

The options for Quicktime files in Vegas are limited due to the older libraries Apple supplies for use in Windows.

Quicktime Pro or Handbrake MP4 are your best options for HD for Mac.
