Heck,..the guy has SPUNK!...I like that about him and I get a kick outa what he writes. lol.

NOBODY but N O B O D Y loves Vegas more than me! I'm the "official" greatest Vegas fan in the universe. (in my humble opinion)

But that doesn't mean I'm going to deny problems untill they are "officially" documented.

ALL "problems" start as word of mouth first. How else do they get reported? They are things that got by the SCS testers when the release was made.

Just let the guy say what he feels. It's not like SCS will halt the testing of the issue because of him.

He's not doing any harm.

"Isn't it a bit arrogant to assume that you can be totally vague describing a problem and expect someone to chase up exactly what you mean?"

Mmmmm seems to me that Sony does it:
"Fixed a problem reading SOME FLAC files. "

Now any dummy should recognize that this is what is called a recap of a of a repair that they did and if you want any details then you need to ask. I think that tv news stations do these things called recaps too don't they? Sorry Robert if it makes you feel better to blame me for your inability to see it for what it was then hey... knock yourself out!

"But that doesn't mean I'm going to deny problems untill they are "officially" documented. "

And this just shows your incredible inability to read. Please show me where I have denied that a problem exists?

Absolutely right again, Blink.

I have scoured all of your posts and yes,..you truely have never denied that a problem exists. In...what?..Vegas?

Yes,...you got me again. I am incredably unable to read. (I can fool everybody here but there is no fooling you,...is there?)

Bravo Blink!

"Yes,...you got me again."

It wasn't about "getting" you. That would imply that I have something against you... which is not the case. It was merely about setting the record straight.

Cliff, the thing I take exception to is not when Blink says what he feels generally, just when he says that he feels that I should not be writing the things I write because he thinks they are wrong. That is normally followed up by an accusation of me being arrogant for sticking to my guns in the face of his rather vapid and often groundless arguments. But it is still hilarious.

Well, I suppose it might be hilarious if I was the only one to call you arrogant, angry... and all those other things.... but alas... I'm NOT the only one that feels that way.

OK,..so we have gone way off topic here!

Let's get back to the issue at hand:

Vegas has problems with memory during rendering. You know it, we know it....we all know it! (And if you don't believe it today,...you will eventually believe it tomorrow)

SCS,..I know you are watching these posts. I also know that you just might be the most "secretive" media company on Earth. You rarely give us release dates for anything and almost never tell us what issues are being worked on.

When will we see Vegas 8D or Vegas 9 or a new product line that doesn't even carry the "Vegas" name at all? When will we be able to reliably render with all 4 processors without crashing. (I can do it with only 5 or 6 out of every 10 projects today)

I have seen more posts on this subject (and related ones) than any other single topic on these forums.

CT

(Yes Blink, we all know you can already do this today and are not having these particular problems. Not many people are running 8 gigs of RAM with no page file.)
