Rendering Video Project

Is it possible to save a prerendered project? When I print to tape, the entire project prerenders which takes considerable time on a long project. If I print multiple copies during the same session, it does not re-render. But if I close the project and open it again later, the entire project prerenders again when printing to tape.

My old DV program permitted me to save the prerendered project, which enabled me to print to tape anytime in the future without having to prerender.

I know I can render the project as a stand-alone file, but it takes more disk space than I have available.

Is there a feature to save the prerendered project that I have overlooked? Thanks.

Options / Prefernces / "Save active prerenders on project close".
Does it work?

Thanks, friend.

I have "save active prerenders on project close" checked. But when I reopen the project at a later date, the active prerenders do not become active. When I print to DV tape, it rerenders the entire project again.

Is there a way to open the saved prerendered files?

OK, I tried this, and it actually took longer to render a project that had sections with saved prerenders(green bars above prerendered areas). I used the same template for prerender and final render. I was under the impression this saved time.
I don't prerender very often at all, only to check tight aud/vid timings and FX.
Sorry! Don't know how VV is handling the saved prerenders for a final render / PTT.
