Rendering video to play in Holland?

I am making a video for a family friend that lives in Holland for her wedding, but it is a surprise. I am not going to be able to try it many times before I go to the wedding in Holland, so I was hoping that somebody here might know how to render my project so that it will work over there. From what I have understood from this forum, Europe is on the PAL system, right? Any more insights would be very helpful!

PAL is fine - render your project using one of the PAL templates

Unlike in the US, European TV sets play both NTSC & PAL signals. At least that's the case in the civilized world where I live, The Netherlands.

Do both. I know it's time consuming, but it never hurts to be over prepared for those once-in-a-lifetime gigs. Render NTSC MPEG files and PAL MPEG files, then create both NTSC and PAL DVDs from them.

For good measure, just to be sure, you could also render an MPEG-1 version under 2GB, burn it as a data disc on a DVD blank, and then you'll have something that most DVD players can play no matter what format they are. It would also play in a computer if necessary.
