Rendering with Version 15

As I mentioned in another post I just upgraded from version 13 to 15. I was waiting for version 15 because it will utilize the GPU. I just finished rendering a video file. I'm not sure if this renders any faster then version 13 did. I did go to options/preferences/video where I turned on GPU acceleration of video processing. It may have shaved off a few minutes but I was looking forward to cutting off  maybe 30 minutes. I am including rendering info used plus my basic PC system.

Rendering info:
RAW video file length 41 Min 35 sec
Rendering time 2 hr 31 min
I used Sony AVC/MVC Internet 1920x1030 - 30p
Audio were part of the video file and I added a music track

PC Sys info:
Win 7 64bit
Main memory 16 gigs
CPU AMD Athlon II X4 (quad core) ...this is an older CPU (2010/2011)
Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti with 2 GiGs memory

If anyone knows of a better rendering engine to use rather then the Sony AVC/MVC please let me know. Is there a better choice rendering to HD? Also are there any tweaks I can make under the options/preferences?

Only the Magix AVC codec benefits from the faster rendercapability of VMS15 with your Nvidia GPU.

Thanks for the information. I will try this very soon. Have you had experience using the Magix AVC codec with a Nividia GPU? If so did you notice what the difference in rendering time was?

Depends on the complexity of your timeline. Just video rendering is about 30% faster.

I just realized if I had checked out the FAQ on the opening screen of the forum I would have seen the answer you gave me. However thanks for just answering. Can't wait to try the codec out!

I want to thank 3POINT for letting me know about the codec. Posted below is info about the same exact video file but the new codec was used.

Rendering info:

Rendering time 2 hr 31 min (old time)
I used Sony AVC/MVC Internet 1920x1030 - 30p

New rendering time 53 min (difference of 98 min)
Used Magix AVC/AAC MP4 - Internet HD 1080p 29.97p (Nvidia Nvenc)

As you can see the time difference is huge even with my old system. This is what I have been hoping for.

To my 75 year old eye's the quality looks almost identical. By almost I mean if there is a difference I can't see it.

I wonder how the Magix codec rendering speed/quality compares to other NLEs. I own several, but decided to only upgrade one this year. Haven't decided which yet.
